Central Stories Museum and Art Gallery - 'Burnt Earth & Big Sky', Lynley van Alphen.

Lynley van Alphen is a plein air painter who spent much of her childhood in Central Otago. While Lynley now resides in the Catlins, she takes many day trips painting in the Central Otago and Maniototo area. The exhibition will feature a diverse range of energetic and dynamic landscapes painted in oils. Lynley said 'they are about movement, space and timelessness. The silence of the big country, the heat, the cold, the wind and perhaps the feeling of peace.'
We currently have examples of Lynley's work in our retail area where there is a display of Rail Trail postcards for sale.
