A retrospective exhibition of works by Denis Kent from the 1960s to 2020.
Denis Kent is a well-known Central Otago Landscape Artist. He is Internationally recognized, with paintings in collections all over the world.
For 50 years he has lived and painted full time in Alexandra and the Makarora, producing a large body of work. This year he turns 80 which therefore presents a unique opportunity to hold a retrospective exhibition in his lifetime - as well as celebrate his efforts as a full time artist and an active and generous contributor to the arts in Central Otago.
We will bring together 40-50 landscape paintings spanning his career from the 1960’s until now to exhibit in the Henderson Gallery at Central Stories Museum and Art Gallery in Alexandra. These paintings will be ‘on-loan’ from people who have previously purchased Denis’s works and will not be for sale to the public.
