  • Footnote Dance Company National Tour - Search Engine.

Shimmering light and captivating movement fill the universe of Search Engine, an exciting new show touring New Zealand and coming to Queenstown 10 May.

Within this luminous, metallic world, three choreographers explore and define their experiences of what it means to seek out and search within our technologically-driven society. This is a different kind of dance experience, and is perfect for families, with light displays and soundscapes accompanying the dancers.

Three short works are by Lauren Langlois, winner of the Green Room Award, Rose Philpott, recipient of the Eileen May Norris Dance Scholarship, and Tupua Tigafua, professional dancer and choreographer since 2010.

Bringing together Search Engine is lighting and AV designer Charley Draper, who is creating a striking and playful projected world that will absorb the audience and punctuate the physicality of the dancers. The audience will surround the stage and will easily experience the incredible energy of the five Footnote dancers, Georgia Beechey-Gradwell, Tyler Carney, Joshua Faleatua, Anu Khapung and Adam Naughton. Sound designs by Jesse Austin-Stewart, Harry Benson-Rae and Jimi Wilson will integrate the movement and light.
