'The Hellfire Anthology' – Launch and Reading.

A true gem in Ĺtautahi's rich literary history, The Hellfire Anthology is a highly artful and covetable edition, featuring all the local and international poets who performed at Lyttelton's legendary Hellfire Club poetry nights.
Join Andy Coyle, Laura Williamson, Liz Breslin and Annabel Wilson as they read both their own words and those of their favourite writers in this beautiful offering. Tickets strictly limited for this intimate event.

ABOUT THE POETS:
Andy Coyle
Andy Coyle is a writer of poetry and short fiction. Andy’s first collection, Ode to the Cyclist and other poems. was published by The Republic of Oma Rapeti Press in 2015. He performs and tours his poetry often and has represented Christchurch in the National Poetry Slam finals. He has appeared in a number of festivals, including the Christchurch Word Festival, The Wellington Jazz Festival, The Newtown Street Festival, LitCrawl Wellington, The Lyttelton Street Party, The Lyttelton Festival of Lights, Fringe Festivals in Auckland, Wellington, and Dunedin, and community event programmes in Christchurch. He has had a play performed by award winning performance group “The Clinic”. A feature length performance set to music by a 7 piece jazz-rock ensemble, and has had a poem painted as a mural in the seaside suburb of New Brighton.
Laura Williamson
Laura Williamson is the co-writer of The Blue Moments Project song and spoken word cycle, and her poems have been featured in books, magazines and journals around the world, including the Poetry New Zealand Yearbook 2019 and three New Zealand Poetry Society anthologies. She is also the former editor of Spoke, a national New Zealand mountain bike magazine. Laura’s first book, The Bike and Beyond: Life on Two Wheels in Aotearoa New Zealand, is out now as part of the BWB Text series from Bridget Williams Books. www.laurawilliamson.co.nz
Liz Breslin
Liz Breslin’s first collection of poems, Alzheimer’s and a Spoon, was published by Otago University Press in 2017 and listed as one of the NZ Listener’s Top 100 books. Her poems are journaled in Best New Zealand Poems 2017, Landfall, the Café Reader, the Spinoff, Poetry NZ Yearbook and other places. She also writes plays, stories, reviews, articles and a fortnightly column – Thinking Allowed – for the Otago Daily Times. Liz was second runner up in the 2014 New Zealand Poetry Slam in Wellington, did a spoken word piece and a collated-audience-response poem at the 2016 TEDx Queenstown and came third in the Charles Causley Trust International Poetry Competition the same year. www.lizbreslin.com
Annabel Wilson
Annabel Wilson is a writer from Wanaka. Her first poetry collection, Aspiring Daybook, was published in 2018 by Makaro Press. It was longlisted for the 2019 Okham New Zealand Book Awards and won the NZ Mountain Film and Book Festival award in the Fiction/Poetry category. Her work has also appeared in journals in NZ and overseas. Her play No Science to Goodbye was performed at the Southern Lakes Festival of Colour, BATS and Te Pou theatre. Annabel has been awarded the RAK Mason fellowship at NZ Pacific Studio, the inaugural Australasian Association of Writers’ Programmes Emerging Writers’ Prize and a residency at the Robert Lord Writers’ Cottage.
