The Teviot Valley's annual celebration is in its 9th year! Keep our regions Scottish heritage and spirit alive. This community event is for you, your friends and family.
Events are as follows...
Friday 14th September - Tartan mufti day for all.
What can you wear with a little or a lot of tartan to kick off Teviot Tartan Time in 2018? Educare and the schools do a great job of getting in the theme, and more and more businesses are adding to the atmosphere around the valley on this day. All proceeds go to St Johns, Roxburgh.
6pm; 'Banquet on Scotland'. At 122 Scotland Street. Tickets $55.00; includes complimentary themed cocktail, 2 course meal and entertianment by 'Koolstore'. Call 0274167578 to book.
Saturday 15th September - Letterbox decorating competition and mailbox trail.
Brighten up the day by dressing up your letterbox, Scottish style. Register your entries at Pinder Motors by 12 noon friday the 14th and our local posties will judge on Saturday morning. Everyone is invited to get a mailboc trail map for a gold coin donation at 103 The Store and the fabulous creations can be viewed between 9am-2pm on Saturday.
7.30pm; Scottish movie, 'Edie - It's Never Too Late'. Roxburgh Entertainment Centre. The story of an 83 year old women who sets off to rekindle fond memories of her childhood dream to climb a mountain in the Scottish Highlands.
Sunday 16th September - The annual kilt canter and BBQ fundraiser, 11am.
Due to positive feedback the netball girls have decided to do a repeat from the Roxburgh Lions Den at Coal Creek along the Roxburgh Cycle Lane and finishing at the Roxburgh Playground. The netball club are keen to see all the regulars and lots more make a bright and cheery Tartan scene along SH8. Gold coin donation, prizes and giveaways.
