Jenny Hill is both a mixed media artist and co-owner of Locharburn Wines with her husband Chris, in Central Otago, New Zealand.

Combining her interest in photography and textiles, she expands this to printing her digital images onto fabric to create some fabulous pieces of art which communicates her ideas in a very textural and colourful way.

Jenny’s diverse collages are done with inspiring photos, paint and different papers. The mixed media textile work she develops blends dyed and digital printed fabrics, free machine embroidery and embellishing techniques to create her final pieces.

Inspiration comes from the self-made tapestry of patterns forms in nature, the visual and microscopic life, Central Otago landscape and it’s history. She explores a different view by enhancing the details of texture, line, patterns and colour. With these she strive to create imagery that highlights the unnoticed form, with the interplay of the shapes, colour and texture.
