Jenny spent a number of years living and working overseas, including Australia, England, Vietnam, Malaysia and lastly India. In 2009 she returned to Central Otago and has based herself with her family in Wanaka and Naseby.

Jenny spent many years as a successful hairdresser before turning her creative touch to other media. After several short courses and one year of full-time study in art, craft and design she decided in 1998 to pursue her art on a full time basis and hasn’t stopped since.

Currently her work consists of semi surreal landscapes. Along with an interesting blend of acrylic over carved wood. Her painting over wood relief have a distinct rural New Zealand feel, much of it portraying New Zealand’s beautiful and varied coastline.

Jenny has also worked in stone mostly from Hinuera ignimbrite and Oamaru limestone. Her sculptures generally have a family and friends theme and range in size from fist size to life size.

In 2004 Jenny illustrated a best seller children’s book - Shrek the famous hermit sheep of Tarras. The illustrations depicted the experiences of the celebrity sheep and the beauty of the Central Otago landscape.
