Lohi Linen is a slow fashion house in Ranfurly, in the heart of the Māniatoto, where every garment is designed and handmade by one woman - Tania - from European deadstock linen.
Each piece is named for the Central Otago landscapes that surround the studio: the hills, valleys and high-country stations you can see from the workroom window.
The brand grew from an extraordinary local arts story. In the 1970s, high-country farmer Eden Hore quietly assembled one of the Southern Hemisphere's great haute couture collections, right here in the Māniatoto. Lohi exists in that same unlikely spirit - serious craft from an unexpected place and that heritage runs through everything we make.
Today Lohi is also a home for Central Otago's makers, sharing its Ranfurly space with local wool, jewellery, ceramics and design alongside The Thirsty Moa wine bar. It's a destination built around a simple belief: that things made slowly, by hand, by people who live just up the valley, are worth the journey to find.
