Alexandra Sewing Circle

The Alexandra Sewing Circle is a group that meets in from 6pm until 9 or 10pm, every second and fourth Monday of each month at the Alexandra Community House in Alexandra.

We are a small group who welcome new members. We all love to sew anything from fine lingerie to coarse upholstery fabric and everything in between.

Most of our older members have been sewing all their lives and enjoy mentoring our younger members by teaching them the techniques and processes which help them to develop a range of skills to ensure that their completed projects are of a very high standard.

Upcycling fabrics, repurposing garments, along with patching and repairing clothing are also encouraged to assist with developing sustainable skills.
