THE POETRY EVENT - NATIONAL POETRY DAY.
Central Stories Museum and Art Gallery is excited to announce the 2018 National Poetry Day celebrations, supporetd by The Central Otago District Arts Trust and Radio Central.
From now until the 17th of August we would like to invite Central Otago people of all ages to submit a poem (their own - or their favourite poem) on the theme of 'Rivers' to Central Stories Museum and Art Gallery. A selection of these works will be read on local radio during the lead up to National Poetry Day and put on display in the Community Gallery at Central Stories for the public to view. You can facebook message, email or deliver your poems to Central Stories.
On the evening of the celebrations local and nationally renowned poets will read their works and further entertainment for the evening is planned including a perfromance by the Alexandra Primary School Choir. Everyone will be welcome to come along and entry on the night will be by koha or donation.
