  • The Mirror, Lakes, and Central Otago Short Story Competition - Entries Open.

The competition is the brainchild of Cromwell resident, Otago Regional Councillor and director of The Message, Michael Laws who says it is about encouraging people to write and getting them published.

The competition is open to writers, experienced and novice, throughout the Queenstown Lakes and Central Otago Districts.

Prizes include $500 cash and $250 of New World vouchers for the winning adult writer and $250 cash and a $250 Paper Plus voucher for the winning junior writer (under 18) as well as publication in the Mirror, and the potential to feature in a new regional literary publication to be marketed to national and international readers.

Entry forms and full terms and conditions are available on the Queenstown, Wanaka and Central Otago pages of neighbourly.co.nz or by emailing [email protected].
