La Canterina by Joseph Haydn and Bon Appétit! by Lee Hoiby.  Sung in English.

The Little Box of Operas presents a comic opera double bill performance at the Cromwell Memorial Hall.

La Canterina, a Haydn opera; includes well known Dunedin soloists, Claire Barton, Lois Johnston, Beth Goulstone and Harry Grigg. Directed by Jenny Burchell with musical direction by David Burchell and an ensemble of strings. A delightful story of the Young Diva.

This is followed by Bon Appetit, a Lee Hoiby opera; performed by Claire Barton accompanied by David Burchell. Julia Child bakes a cake!
