JUNIOR:  5-7yrs     NOW WAITLISTING for Mon/Tues.  Wed option still available.

ELEMENTARY:  8-10yrs

SENIOR:  11+ years

A school holiday programme actioned packed full of dance, drama, music & art. This fun filled camp is perfect for young enthusiastic dancers & those with creative flair. Shaping up to include Modern Jazz, Classical Ballet, Hip Hop, Musical Theatre, African Drumming & Dance, Drama, Applied Art Workshops, and conclude with a fun display to parents & friends.  We have a fantastic line up of tutors for the kids to enjoy!

Ideal for current & new Dance Wanaka students. All welcome, but be in quick as we have limited spaces.

FEE: $70 per student (Tues & Wed), $90 (Mon, Tues & Wed), $35 (Wed only) or $10 (African drumming Wed mng only).  10% family discount (for 2+ members of one family)

TUTORS:

Anna Thomas (Dance Tutor) - Anna is the Director of Dance Wanaka & has a background in Classical Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary & Musical theatre.  See more here

Briony Martin (Dance Tutor) - Briony is an experienced Classical & Modern teacher at Dance Wanaka.  She has a background as a professional dancer in Europe, & has loads to share with our young dancers (full bio here), 

Rachel Macpherson (Hip Hop tutor) - Rachel is a senior Hip Hop teacher at Dance Wanaka. Her large enthusiasm for street dance is infectious amongst our Hip Hop students.

Robert Fugah (African drums Tutor) - Robert (also known as Koffie) is a professional African drumming & dance instructor, and performer from Ghana now living in NZ.   His workshops offer an insight into the powerful rhythms of africa, hands on djembe drumming, & dance with a fun workout

Sylvia Duff (Drama Tutor) - Sylvia oozes with energy and inspires young creative minds. She is fully NZ Registered Teacher & has extensive experience teaching drama across Primary and Secondary schools in the Otago region.  She officially escorted NZ Young Shakespeare Players to the Globe, London 2008; is an experienced Speech and Drama/Public Speaking Teacher; Trinity and New Zealand Speech Board member; Directed Musicals and Drama/Devised Drama in Schools and for adult Theatrical Societies; Director of Hawea Flat School’s Musical ‘Sir Ed You’re A Legend’ in 2013.

Anna Scott Walker (Art Tutor) - will lead a creative applied art workshops that tie in with drama & dance themes. Director of The Creative Space, she has a flair for anything creative & manages educational after-school art classes for Primary aged children in Wanaka.  Her classes allow artistic freedom to learn and discover new techniques using natural and recyclable products.
