Dunstan Creek 150 is a celebration of our heritage from the earliest days of sheep runs being taken up, to the influx of miners and the discovery of gold, the dividing of large runs into settlement “hundreds” and smaller farm acreages leading to townships of Cambrian (Welshman's Gully or Old Dunstan Creek) St Bathans (Dunstan Creek) and Becks (Beck's or White Horse) being estabished along with need for businesses, schools, churches, sports clubs, social clubs.

We hope folk will come from near and far to join the locals in celebrating this unique and beautiful part of New Zealand, whether to see where their ancestors started out, to visit their old schools, to look at the mountains where they mustered, the halls where they danced, to chat with old friends, or just to enjoy the Central countryside.

Come One and All for a fun filled weekend........our 150th Birthday Party!

8:30am Bus leaves Alexandra/Ranfurly/Naseby

9:30am Assemble at Marquee at St Bathans Domain for morning tea/coffee

10am  Buses leave for narrated tour of Vinegar Hill Cambrian Surface Hill & St Bathans. Narration on historic sites and pioneer families.

12noon Lunch etc (pre ordered box or byo picnic)

1:30pm Assemble at Domain for Pioneer Parade & St David's & St Patrick Day Sports. Cash Bars. Farmers Shemozzle. Vintage vehicles, Pipe band. Tug of War, Wagon Rides,  Kids Contests, Married & Single races. Quoits. All the fun of the Olden Days! Moustache & Beard Contest (men only).  Food and fancy good stalls.

5:30pm Drinks before Dinner at Marquee

6:30pm Assemble for Miners Festival Feast Roast Dinner. Cash Bar. 

From 9pm Rousing Ceilidh music of yesteryear  from Dr Music  as caller Stephanie guides you through the fun and frivolity of barn dancing

At conclusion Buses depart for Alexandra/other Accommodation. (if sufficient need we will run a 9.30 departure)
