Arts on the Clutha Gold Trail.
Following the success of Arts on the Rail Trail, the Arts Trust would like to introduce our new project Arts on the Clutha Gold Trail. We have decided to start simply this year with a flier introducing some of the many wonderful venues and artists in the Teviot Valley. We hope that next year we can maximise this project and showcase all the wonderful offerings for cyclists, visitors and locals in the area.
Arts on the Clutha Gold Trail offers cyclists, visitors, locals and art enthusiasts the opportunity to view works by Central Otago artists in venues around the Clutha Gold Cycling & walking trail. Exhibitions will run from the 17th of February to the 30th of April in venues such as cafes, lodges, galleries and artists’ studios. Works will be available to purchase.
This event presents the opportunity for talented Central Otago artists to raise their profile and showcase their works to an extensive audience. It encourages cyclists to further explore our region, discover venues they might not have otherwise visited and enrich their experience of the stunning Clutha Gold Trail.
Picture Postcard is the only way to describe this spectacular hidden gem - the Teviot Valley. Here, you will discover a diverse range of arts, crafts, galleries, sculpture, stunning historic
buildings and fabulous cafe and dining experiences. All this and more sits alongside the Mighty Clutha River, and one of New Zealand’s most stunning Cycling & Walking Trails.
Your Arts on the Clutha Gold Trail experience awaits you.
